Time-lapse from El Teide

The norwegian photographer Terje Sorgjerd has done it again and made a new spectacular time-lapse video viewed by millions of people. This time he has taken photos from the Spanish mountain El Teide and made an amazing video showing beautiful nature and landscape.

In early March 2011 Terje Sorgjerd did his footage on the Spanish mountain El Teide for the movie ‘The Mountain’.

The video has got much attention around the world. Both CNN, ABC and The Discovery Channel has covered it and Terje Sorgjerd was interviewed by CNN. Also, the Wall Street Journal, USA Today, The Washington Post and The Guardian have made ​​reports about the video from El Teide.

On the website where the video is published, Terje Sorgjerd writes that the aim of the film was to capture the Milky Way together with the magnificent mountain of El Teide.

New footage of the moment tsunami hit Japan.

It shows how fast the situation was changed for a small village. In just a few minutes everything went from total silence and harmony to big waves and tsunami.

An american woman was driving behind a car when suddenly a flying plank came from nowhere and crashed through the windshield.

The accident was captured on video.

No one hurt and the driver is OK.

There has been a lot of discussion about the video and if it is real or not.

Dog reunited with owner

The dog that was found all alone on a floating roof out at sea, and rescued by the Japanese coast guard,
has now been reunited with its owner – more than three weeks after the Japan tsunami.

The dog’s owner, a woman from Kesennuma, recognized the dog as she watched the rescue on TV.

A very happy dog finally meets its owner again

The dog is called Ban, two-year-old, and it reacted like dogs usually do when they see their owners again: it barked, wagged and jumped up and down.

A happy ending with a very happy dog and owner.

Tsunami hits boat

A patrol boat was hit by the tsunami and was almost eaten by the big waves.

The boat struggled a lot and finally it managed to get through the tsunami waves that hit Japan on March 11th, 2011.

Dog rescued from floating house out at sea

A dog has survived the tsunami in Japan after three weeks on a floating house roof nearly 10 miles out at sea.

Rescue crews searched for missing persons on Friday, 1 April, and found a dog on a drifting roof.

The rescue action was a challenge as the dog was scared by the helicopter’s propellers and hid under the roof. Rescue crews tried to get onto the roof to find the dog.

Dog finally rescued after three weeks alone out at sea

After several attempts they made ​​a hole in the roof to take the dog out. But the time-consuming process made ​​the helicopter ran out of fuel, and the crew had to stop the rescue.

A few hours later, one of the Coast Guard boats came and finally rescued the tired dog and gave it food and care.

Extreme sport - wingsuit flyby

In this video two men are flying at a speed of between 200 and 250 kilometeres per hours, and are less than one meter above the ground when they pass right over the heads of other people.

The footage is taken near one of Norway’s beautiful fjords, the Sognefjord, and is made for a TV show about extreme sports.

Earth Hour

Earth Hour is the world’s largest global climate change initiative. At 8:30 PM local time on Saturday 26th March 2011, lights are turned off around the world.

It has now swept across Oceania, Asia and Europe.

Many famous landmarks have turned off their lights for an hour. Hundreds of millions of people have joined.

Earth Hour takes place at the same time all over the world, and rolls like a wave from Fiji. It was first held in 2007 and quickly became a very popular event.

Worldwide, 128 countries participated in 2010.

The timing is chosen for cosmic reasons. It is a time when it is reasonably dark across the earth so that it is suitable for all nations.
