Dog rescued from floating house out at sea
A dog has survived the tsunami in Japan after three weeks on a floating house roof nearly 10 miles out at sea.
It took several hours to rescue the dog and bring it to safety.
Watch the video.
Rescue crews searched for missing persons on Friday, 1 April, and found a dog on a drifting roof.
The rescue action was a challenge as the dog was scared by the helicopter’s propellers and hid under the roof. Rescue crews tried to get onto the roof to find the dog.

Dog finally rescued after three weeks alone out at sea
After several attempts they made a hole in the roof to take the dog out. But the time-consuming process made the helicopter ran out of fuel, and the crew had to stop the rescue.
A few hours later, one of the Coast Guard boats came and finally rescued the tired dog and gave it food and care.
